While the machines are running and the radio is playing, you help ensure that hospitality linen is cleaned, processed, and returned to customers in perfect condition. Because you start early, you finish early too. Sounds ideal, right?

De functie

As a Production Employee, you and your colleagues are responsible for processing hospitality linen from hotels, restaurants, and event venues. You will work in different areas of our laundry facility, such as one of our 3 washing lines or 12 ironing and folding machines.
No two days are the same!

Your tasks include:

• Sorting laundry;
• Loading and unloading washing lines and dryers;
• Inspecting hospitality linen during the process;
• Folding and packaging clean laundry;
• Cleaning machines;
• Keeping your workspace clean and safe.

Why This Job?
You start work around 04:00 or 05:00, which means you finish early and still have the rest of your day available. Most evenings and weekends are free.

And getting up early pays off: between 00:00 and 06:00, you receive a 45% shift allowance, increasing your hourly wage from €15.57 to €22.58 gross per hour.

As a Production Employee, it’s important that you work carefully and responsibly. You work standing and in a production environment with machines. You recognize yourself in the following:

• You enjoy (light) physical work; sitting all day is not for you;
• You like working together with colleagues;
• You speak good English;
• No production experience needed you learn everything at Elis.

Wat bieden wij?

At Elis Nieuwegein, you combine the benefits of a large international organization with the atmosphere of a close-knit local team. In return, we offer an attractive package of employment benefits:

• Salary starting from €15.57 gross per hour (45% allowance between 00:00 and 06:00, increasing your hourly wage to €22.58 gross per hour);
• 8.33% holiday allowance and a 5.33% year-end bonus, adding up to approximately €3,990 gross extra per year based on a full-time 36-hour work week;
• Day shifts, allowing you to keep most evenings and weekends free.Only during busy holiday periods may occasional Saturday shifts be required;
• Direct employment with Elis, with the prospect of a permanent contract;
• Travel allowance of €0.15 per kilometre according to the Textile Care Collective Labour Agreement, for commuting distances from 5 km up to a maximum of 40 km one way. This can amount to up to €12.00 per working day;
• 25 vacation days based on a 40-hour work week;
• Excellent pension scheme through MITT, with Elis paying approximately two-thirds of the contribution;

Over Elis

You will be working at Elis Nieuwegein, where large volumes of hospitality linen arrive every day, including tablecloths, napkins, towels, and bed linen from hotels and restaurants. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything arriving dirty leaves our facility clean, neatly folded, and professionally packaged.

In our modern laundry facility, you will work alongside washing lines, dryers, ironing machines, and folding machines. The linen keeps moving, the machines keep running, and together you make sure everything is processed on time. You immediately see the results of your work, which makes the job varied and rewarding.

The atmosphere is friendly, informal, and practical. You will work closely with Max and Rens, the site managers. They will help you settle into your role, answer your questions, and support you on the production floor whenever needed.
