While the machines are running and the radio is playing, you and your colleagues make sure all the hospitality linen leaves the facility fresh, clean and ready to use.

You’ll work 4 days a week, 9 hours a day, starting at 6:00 AM. That means getting an early start, finishing early and enjoying an extra day off every week!

De functie

As a Production Employee, you and your colleagues are responsible for processing hospitality linen from hotels, restaurants, and event venues. You will work in different areas of our laundry facility, such as one of our 3 washing lines or 12 ironing and folding machines.
No two days are the same!

Your tasks include:

• Sorting laundry;
• Loading and unloading washing lines and dryers;
• Inspecting hospitality linen during the process;
• Folding and packaging clean laundry;
• Cleaning machines;
• Keeping your workspace clean and safe.

Why this job?

You’ll start each working day at 6:00 AM and work 4 days of 9 hours. This allows you to work plenty of hours while only working four days a week. You’ll finish early, leaving you with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day.

Plus, you’ll usually have your evenings and weekends free.

As a Production Employee, it’s important that you work carefully and responsibly. You work standing and in a production environment with machines. You recognize yourself in the following:

• It is a requirement that you reside in the Netherlands at the time of application.
• You like working together with colleagues;
• You speak good English;
• No production experience needed you learn everything at Elis.

Wat bieden wij?

You’ll be working at Elis Nieuwegein, where you’ll enjoy the benefits of a large international organisation combined with the friendly atmosphere of a close-knit team. And of course, this comes with an attractive employment package:

• A salary of €15.57 gross per hour;
• 36 hours per week, spread over 4 working days of 9 hours. That means 3 days off every week;
• 8.33% holiday allowance and a 5.33% year-end bonus, adding up to approximately €3,990 gross extra per year based on a full-time 36-hour working week;
• You start your working day at 6:00 AM, which means you finish early and still have plenty of time left to enjoy the rest of your day;
• You work day shifts, so your evenings and weekends are usually free. Around public holidays, you may occasionally be required to work on a Saturday;
• A direct contract with Elis, with the possibility of a permanent position;
• A travel allowance of €0.15 per kilometre, in accordance with the Textile Care Collective Labour Agreement, for commuting distances from 5 km up to a maximum of 40 km each way. This means you can receive up to €12.00 per working day;
• 25 days of annual leave, based on a 40-hour working week;
• A good pension scheme through MITT, with Elis paying approximately two-thirds of the pension contribution;

Over Elis

You will be working at Elis Nieuwegein, where large volumes of hospitality linen arrive every day, including tablecloths, napkins, towels, and bed linen from hotels and restaurants. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything arriving dirty leaves our facility clean, neatly folded, and professionally packaged.

In our modern laundry facility, you will work alongside washing lines, dryers, ironing machines, and folding machines. The linen keeps moving, the machines keep running, and together you make sure everything is processed on time. You immediately see the results of your work, which makes the job varied and rewarding.

The atmosphere is friendly, informal, and practical. You will work closely with Max and Rens, the site managers. They will help you settle into your role, answer your questions, and support you on the production floor whenever needed.
