Part Time Production Worker

In our modern laundry facility, you and your colleagues ensure that linen from hotels, restaurants, and hospitality venues is professionally cleaned and prepared for reuse. This is a role where you stay active, see the results of your work immediately, and become part of a reliable and supportive team.

De functie

As a part-time Production Employee, you and your colleagues ensure that hospitality linen from hotels, restaurants, and event venues is returned to customers clean, fresh, and neatly prepared. You will work across various departments within the laundry, such as one of the three washing lines or one of the twelve ironing and folding machines.

No two days are the same. Your tasks may include:

• Sorting laundry;
• Loading and unloading washing lines and dryers;
• Inspecting hospitality linen throughout the process;
• Folding and packaging clean laundry;
• Cleaning machines;
• Keeping your workspace clean and safe.

Why this Job?

Your shift starts around 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM, allowing you to finish early and enjoy the rest of your day. In addition, you will usually have your evenings and weekends free. And early starts pay off: between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM, you receive a 45% shift allowance, increasing your hourly wage from €15.57 to €22.58 gross per hour during those hours.

Jouw profiel

You enjoy staying active and thrive in a team environment. Previous experience in a laundry facility is not required; if you are motivated, we will teach you everything you need to know.
In addition:

• You are available for at least 3 days per week in day shifts;
• You speak Dutch or English.
• It is a requirement that you reside in the Netherlands at the time of application.

Wat bieden wij?

• Starting salary of €15.57 gross per hour;
• 45% allowance between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM, increasing your hourly wage to €22.58 gross per hour during these hours;
• 8.33% holiday allowance and 5.33% year-end bonus, together worth approximately €3,990 gross extra per year based on a full-time 36-hour contract;
• Day shifts, meaning evenings and weekends are generally free. Only around public holidays may Saturday work occasionally be required;
• A direct contract with Elis with the prospect of a permanent position;
• Travel allowance of €0.15 per kilometer according to the Textile Care Collective Labor Agreement (CAO), for commuting distances from 5 km up to a maximum of 40 km one way, with a maximum reimbursement of €12.00 per working day;
• 25 vacation days based on a 40-hour working week;
• An excellent pension plan through MITT, with Elis contributing approximately two-thirds of the premium;

Over Elis

You will be working at Elis in Nieuwegein, where large quantities of hospitality linen arrive every day, including tablecloths, napkins, towels, and bed linen from hotels and restaurants. Your role is to make sure that everything arriving dirty leaves the facility spotlessly clean, neatly folded, and carefully packed for the customer.

In the modern laundry environment, you will work alongside washing lines, dryers, ironers, and folding machines. The linen keeps moving, the machines keep running, and together with your colleagues you make sure everything is completed on time. You can immediately see the results of your efforts, making the work both enjoyable and varied.

The atmosphere is friendly, informal, and down-to-earth. You will work closely with Max and Rens, the site managers. They will provide thorough onboarding, answer your questions, and are always present on the work floor to support you.
